Horse Ride Trek

Horse riding offers you a unique adventure holiday in Nepal to make your journey even more memorable. It’s a great way to explore the country’s rich landscape which might otherwise be inaccessible.

Ponies can be hired for short excursions or alternatively full pony treks can be arranged depending on your requirements. Pony treks follow nearly the same routes as normal treks and are offered mostly in the western region around Pokhara, as well as in Dolpo and Lo Manthang.

Package Includes:

  • Airport transfers from Kathmandu if not already in Pokhara
  • All meals as per itinerary
  • One pony with Ponyman for the hiking
  • Conservation / National parks entry permit.
  • TIMS ( Trekking Information Management System) entry permit
  • Guide & Porter during the trip
  • Domestic Airfare according to program
  • Drop to the kathmandu international airport for your onward destination

  • Nepal entry visa fee per person US$ 30 only

  • Hotel accommodation, sightseeing and meals in Kathmandu

Pokhara to Sarankot (2 days)

Day 01: In the morning, after breakfast start pony ride and stay over night at hotel in Sarangkot. Beautiful sunset views of the Annapurna Range offer a great photo opportunity.

Day 02: Early morning experience the beautiful sunrise views before setting off towards Pokhara after breakfast. There’s a pony ride around Phewa Lake which is a great way to explore the area.

Pokhara to Begnas Lake (2 days)

Day 01: In the morning, after breakfast start pony ride and stay over night at hotel at Beganas Lake. There are glorious mountain views en route and the opportunity to boat on the lake.

Day 02: Early morning departure for Pokhara after breakfast. Then there’s a pony ride around Phewa Lake which is a great way to explore the area.

Jomsom /Muktinath (4 to 6 days)

Day 01: Fly to Jomsom from Pokhara and then it’s a horse ride to Kagbeni. We stay overnight at teahouse lodge and visit the main attractions.

Day 02: After breakfast we pony trek to Muktinath. On route we visit holy pilgrimage sites whilst admire the scenic views.

Day 03: Back to Jomsom where we witness the glorious views of Mt. Nilgiri & Tilicho peak.

Day 04: Depending on your requirements, a morning transfer to airport and fly back to Pokhara. Or take a ride down to Marpha.

Day 05: Visit Marpha and the Tukuche village. The panoramic views of the Tukuhe peak and Dhaulagiri are beautiful. Return to Jomsom.

Day 06: Early morning transfer to airport and fly back to Pokhara.
